Stem licence terms

The short version

These stems are part of the AGsoundtrax recording and stay licensed under the licence for the track. Use them in this project only. They may not be resold, shared, published as music, uploaded anywhere others can obtain them, used to train models, or registered with Content ID.

That applies to a single stem exactly as it does to the full set. This is the part people get wrong most often: an isolated drum layer or a lone string pad feels like generic material, but it is still the licensed recording, and every restriction below still covers it.

What your licence already grants

A licence is granted per project, not per edit. Once a project is licensed, the track may be used in the cuts, trailers and versions of that project, as the licence terms at purchase describe. The stems are additional deliverables of that same licence, prepared on request, and they do not extend it: they let you mix the music into your project, not license it twice.

Every purchase comes with a licence certificate that names the track, the project and the scope. That certificate covers the stems too.

What is never granted

Reselling, sublicensing or redistributing the music itself, alone or in a library, kit or template. A stem pack is exactly the kind of thing this clause exists for.

Claiming authorship of the music, or registering it with a content identification system such as YouTube Content ID.

Using the music, in whole or in part, to train, tune or seed any machine learning or generative model. This catalogue is written by people and stays that way, and a clean isolated stem is the most valuable possible training input, which is precisely why it is refused.

Publishing the stems as music in their own right, whether as a release, a sample pack, a remix stem drop or a download others can obtain.

Ownership

The composers and AGsoundtrax retain every right not expressly granted by a licence. Licensing a track, and receiving its stems, does not transfer copyright in either the composition or the recording.

The download link

A stem delivery link expires, and the expiry is stated in the email that carries it. The same files stay available from your account, so an expired link is never a lost delivery.
