# AGsoundtrax > Royalty free production music for film, television, advertising and games. Written and performed by named composers, never generated. Search by genre, mood, tempo, musical key and energy, and exclude what you never want to hear. ## What this is AGsoundtrax licenses production music for film, television, advertising, games and new media. It has operated since 2012. The catalogue holds more than 5,000 tracks across hand-curated collections, written and performed by more than seventy named composers. ## What is distinctive - Every track credits a composer with a page, a bio and a placement history. There are no stock aliases. - No generative music. Composers warrant at submission that they wrote and performed the work themselves, and machine-written submissions are declined. - Search supports exclusion as well as inclusion. Any dimension can be filtered by what a track must have or must not have: genre, mood, instrument, vocal treatment, energy and build. - Tempo and duration filter by range, and musical key by a twelve-root grid with a major and minor toggle. - Composers receive fifty percent of licence revenue, paid monthly with a statement. ## Key pages - [Home](https://www.agsoundtrax.com): what the library is and how it is searched. - [Browse and search](https://www.agsoundtrax.com/browse): the whole catalogue, filterable by what a track must or must not have. - [Collections](https://www.agsoundtrax.com/collections): hand-curated collections of the catalogue. - [Composers](https://www.agsoundtrax.com/artists): every composer, with a page, a bio and their tracks. - [Brief](https://www.agsoundtrax.com/brief): describe a project in plain words and get matching tracks. - [Doppel](https://www.agsoundtrax.com/doppel): paste a Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube or Deezer link and find its double in the catalogue. - [Sync Studio](https://www.agsoundtrax.com/sync-studio): an editor in the browser: lay catalogue tracks under your video. - [AutoScore](https://www.agsoundtrax.com/autoscore): drop a video and get licensable music that fits the cut. - [Custom music](https://www.agsoundtrax.com/custom-music): commission original music from our composers. - [Pricing](https://www.agsoundtrax.com/pricing): three licence tiers plus Creator and Professional subscriptions. - [License terms](https://www.agsoundtrax.com/license): what a licence allows and what it does not. - [FAQ](https://www.agsoundtrax.com/faq): quick answers about finding, licensing and using the music. - [Help Center](https://www.agsoundtrax.com/support): every help article. - [Blog](https://www.agsoundtrax.com/blog): practical guides on licensing production music. - [Become a composer](https://www.agsoundtrax.com/submit): how composers join the catalogue. - [Contact](https://www.agsoundtrax.com/contact): reach the team. ## Frequently asked questions ### What is AGsoundtrax? AGsoundtrax is a curated stock music library: production music for film, television, commercials and new media, written and produced by real composers. Every track is handpicked, and nothing in the catalog is AI generated. Browse the full catalog, start from a collection, or meet the composers. ### Searching the catalog The search box on Browse understands titles, artists, genres and moods in plain words. Search results are ranked by how well they match; everything else on the page (the count, the filters, the chips) follows the same search. ### What is Brief? Brief is a different front door to the same catalog. Instead of choosing filters, you describe what you are scoring ("a warm reunion scene, acoustic, builds slowly, about ninety seconds") and Brief translates that into the catalog's own filters and plays you the matches. The picks always come from the real catalog. Brief writes the search; the library answers it. ### What is Doppel? Doppel answers the oldest question in production music: "I have a reference track, what do you have that sounds like it?" Paste a track link from Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube or Deezer, and Doppel finds its double in the AGsoundtrax catalog: same vibe, same energy, same tempo. Every match is a real, human-composed track you can license in minutes, which is exactly what a reference from a commercial record is not. It is built for the temp-track moment: the director fell in love with a song you cannot clear, and you need something that carries the same feeling without the lawyers. ### Free demo downloads Every track and every version can be downloaded as a free MP3 demo; sign in with a free account and each demo is one click. Demos carry an audible watermark, so you can cut them into your edit and show the client before any money moves. The clean files arrive with the license. ### How licensing works AGsoundtrax music is royalty free: you license a track once and use it in your project for the life of that project, with no further payments and no royalty reports. You keep working with the watermarked demos while you decide; the clean masters unlock when the license is in place. The licenses page describes the options. For a campaign, a series, or anything licensed regularly, message us or send a playlist quote and we will shape it around the work. ### What does "royalty free" mean? Traditionally, production music was paid for every single broadcast use. Royalty free music replaces that with one license, paid once: no needle-drop fees, no cue sheets to us, no meter running. The long version lives on What is RFM?. We do not require any usage reports. Your client or broadcaster may have their own paperwork, so check what they need on their side. ### Do I need a license just for YouTube or Facebook? Yes. Publishing music on YouTube or Facebook is a use like any other, and an AGsoundtrax license covers it. The demo files are for testing inside your edit, never for publishing. ### The master ZIP Every licensed track downloads as one archive from your Dashboard: the master WAV, the master MP3, every alternate version the library holds for that track, and your license certificate as a PDF. One button, everything the edit needs. The versions are included with the license; they are not sold separately. ### The license certificate The License.pdf inside your master ZIP names the licensee, the work, the license reference, the purchase date and every file delivered. Keep it with the project files; it is what a broadcaster's clearance department asks for. A license drawn against a subscription says so on its certificate: it names the plan it was cleared under, Creator or Professional, what that plan permits, and that the clearance is permanent for work published while the subscription was active. For a reissue or a question about a certificate, write to info@agsoundtrax.com and quote the reference on it. ### Refunds Simple rule: when something goes wrong with a payment, the mistake is resolved in your favour. An unused license is refundable in full for 14 days, and a wrong-scope license gets swapped or refunded. The whole policy is on the refund page, written to be read. ### The two plans Creator is $19 a month, or $199 a year, and carries 50 licenses a month. It covers your own channels and projects. Professional is $49 a month, or $499 a year, and carries 200 licenses a month. It covers client and agency work (the license carries to the client), and stem separation is included. Both plans deliver exactly what a single purchase delivers: the master WAV, the master MP3, every alternate version and a license certificate as a PDF. Subscribe from the pricing page. ### How the license allowance works One license is one track. Your remaining licenses are shown beside your avatar while you are signed in, and in full on the Plan & billing tab of your Dashboard. The allowance refills on the first of the calendar month, whichever day of the month you subscribed on and whether you pay monthly or yearly. Unused licenses do not roll over. A quiet month does not make the next one bigger. Licensing the same track twice in the same month costs nothing extra. The second certificate is free, because the slot was already spent on the first. When the month's allowance is gone, you can still license any track by buying it outright at the usual price, and the subscription carries on untouched. ### What each plan covers Pay-per-track licenses are priced by three questions: how many people will see the work, how large the company paying for it is, and how much is being spent to promote it. A subscription answers those questions once, for every track you take under it. Creator covers work at the first two levels: your own channels, your own projects, smaller productions and modest promotion. Professional covers all three, including the largest level: client work, agency work, and campaigns with real media spend behind them. On Professional the license carries to your client, which is what makes it the plan for anyone billing somebody else. If a project is bigger than your plan covers, buy that one track outright at the level it needs, or move up to Professional. When you are unsure which side of the line a job sits on, ask us before you deliver it. ### Cancelling Cancel from the Plan & billing tab of your Dashboard. Nothing is cut off the moment you press it. Your plan runs to the end of the period you have already paid for. Until that date the allowance is yours: license, download and publish as normal. On that date the plan stops and no further payment is taken. Everything you published while subscribed stays cleared, permanently. A subscription license does not lapse when the subscription does. Work you have not published yet is the part to watch. These licenses clear work released while a plan is running, so a project that goes out after your plan ends needs either a live subscription or a license bought for that track. If an edit is still sitting in your timeline, publish it before the period ends or keep the plan running until it does. Changed your mind before the period ends? One press on the same tab keeps the plan running and nothing is lost. ### Subscription or buy per track? Buy per track when licensing is occasional, or when one project is much bigger than the rest of your work. You pay for what that project actually is, once, and nothing renews. Subscribe when you license regularly, and the arithmetic makes itself: at 50 licenses a month, Creator is a few cents a track. The two live together happily. Subscribers buy tracks outright all the time, for a job above their plan's level, for stems on Creator, or simply after the month's allowance has run out. ### What counts as commercial use? Commercial use is any use that helps sell or promote a company, a product or a service. If the work the music sits in makes money or promotes something that does, license it as commercial; when in doubt, ask and we answer plainly. ### Can I edit the tracks? Yes. Whatever license you hold, you may cut, loop, fade and rearrange the track as much as your picture needs. Most tracks already come with timed cuts and alternate versions, all included in your master ZIP. What editing does not cover is turning the track into new music: recording instruments or vocals on top to release as a song is not allowed. Scoring your film with it, cut however you like, is exactly what it is for. If you need an alteration we should make for you (a longer cut, a version without a lead instrument), message us; that is often a small custom job. ### What am I not allowed to do? The short list: Resell or redistribute the files as standalone music, free or paid, anywhere. Sublicense: your license is yours, not something to pass along. Use the music in work that includes pornography, condones violence, or violates anyone's privacy or publicity rights. Record new instruments or vocals over a track and present the result as a new musical work. Register the music, or anything containing it, with Content ID or any rights database in your own name. ### Do I need to credit AGsoundtrax? No, credit is never required with a license. It is always appreciated: a name and a link to agsoundtrax.com in your credits helps the composers get found. ### YouTube, Content ID and AdRev AGsoundtrax does not register anything with Content ID. Some of our composers register their own work with AdRev or a similar service, which is their own arrangement and their own decision, and every track page says whether that track is registered before you license it. If a track you licensed was registered by its composer, YouTube may show a "matched third party content" notice on your video. That is a notice, not a strike; nothing bad has happened to your channel. Clearing it is quick: dispute the claim with your license certificate, or message us with the video link and your license reference and we ask the composer to release it. Details and the long version live on AdRev and YouTube. ### What are stems? Stems are the individual layers of a track, separated so your mix can duck what fights the dialogue and keep what carries the scene. Five are available: drums, bass, guitars, keys and vocals. Strings, brass and synths are on the way. ## More - [Full help text](https://www.agsoundtrax.com/llms-full.txt): every public help article in one file. - [Summary for AI](https://www.agsoundtrax.com/ai/summary.json), [FAQ for AI](https://www.agsoundtrax.com/ai/faq.json), [Services for AI](https://www.agsoundtrax.com/ai/service.json). ## Contact info@agsoundtrax.com
